Pinecone Pendant
When out foraging for Eastern White Pine needles and twigs this spring I was excited to find some little baby pine cones (conelets).
They were so tiny and perfectly formed I was immediately drawn to create a pendant from them for myself. A symbol of my deep connection with this tree and the amazing journey it has sent me on over the last 2 years.
When I showed off my latest find to my customers I was immediately overwhelmed with requests to purchase jewellery made from these tiny masterpieces.. a symbol of the unique healing journey that you had been on with your amazing plant ally the Eastern White Pine.
This Pendant is crafted from solid Sterling Silver and are professionally caste by RegalNZ and forged by my friend Steve Evans Jewellery Design.
They are a unique and beautiful peice of jewellery that captures the essence of the pine journey while also being an amazing talking point for friends and family, allowing you to share the meaning behind your precious Pinecone Pendant
+ A little about the meanings associated with pine cones.
Throughout history pinecones have been a symbol of human enlightenment, resurrection, eternal life and regeneration.
The pinecone's geometry is a masterpiece of nature, exhibiting a perfect embodiment of the golden ratio (φ) and the Fibonacci sequence. Its spiral pattern displays:
- 5 spirals clockwise and 8 spirals counterclockwise (or vice versa), reflecting the Fibonacci sequence.
- Each scale overlaps the next by approximately 137.5 degrees (the golden angle).
The pinecone's geometry is believed to hold spiritual significance:
*Connection to the Divine: The spiral pattern represents the connection between heaven and earth, symbolizing the flow of spiritual energy.
*Sacred Geometry: The pinecone's embodiment of the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence reflects the harmony and balance found in the universe.
*Growth and Evolution: The spiral pattern signifies growth, transformation, and evolution, mirroring the unfolding of human consciousness.
*Unity and Duality: The pinecone's opposing spirals represent the interconnectedness of opposites (masculine/feminine, yin/yang, etc.).
In esoteric traditions, the pinecone is associated with:
*Pineal Gland and the Third Eye: The pinecone's resemblance to the pineal gland, a center of intuition and higher consciousness, has led to connections between the two.
The pinecone's unique geometry and spiritual significance have captivated human imagination, inspiring contemplation, and spiritual growth.
